Going All out On Child Labour

Janhit Vikas Samiti, one of India’s leading Grassroot organizations took a firm stand against child labour today by launching its One Mission, Two States, Four Districts campaign. The campaign focuses on the children sacrificing their schooling and their future in and around the abandoned Mica Mines.

Happy Hisua to Happy Nawada, Jamui, Koderma and Giridih

Mr. M.P. Sinha, the Secretary of JVS said here to a group of civil society leaders, state and district level administrators and the media that “Happy Hisua” successfully implemented in Navada was the best ever district programme launched against child anywhere in the country.

” Had we sustained this program, we would have been in the history like Ernakulam the first fully literate district”. It is not late. Let us reinvent and scale up Happy Hisua.

Focus On the Mica Children

A comprehensive program is being drawn up with the help of the Peace Consortium of which JanhitViksas Samiti is a leading member. We will also be guided by the International Labour Organization and the Ashoka Foundation.

  • Children First.
  • Mentoring and Guiding the Underserved Family
